Post Exam Activities

:) today was quite fun :)
5H won the captain ball competition :)
and the best part was that it was due to great teamwork from everyone - everyone of 5h :)
yingying and sheila were brilliant at the front, with their extremely firm hands and flexible body, catching whatever ball that came towards them, scoring loads of points for us :D
jia chen and acer built up attack after attack, putting tremendous pressure on the other teams and created many opportunities for us to score :D
zhao wei and kah hoe were rock solid at the back as well, putting their remarkable elevation and height to great use, intercepting every possible ball and leaving the opponents with hardly any chance to score :D
not forgetting the wonderfully encouraging 5H supporters :D who were cheering throughout all the matches, providing fantastic motivation for us that was especially crucial during the intense match with 5A where we were down by a few points but staged an awesome comeback in the final minutes, going into extra time with a draw and finally cliching the win by 1 point :D

ah the match with 5A was the match of the day i'd have to say, it was a tight match which was physically and mentally draining, and could have gone either way, and it all came down to who wanted it more. Yet the challenge was what made it fun and to have won, the satisfaction is really nice and the credit goes to the whole of 5H man :D

that being said, i thought that 5A was a really strong team and that can be seen from how hard they made us work for the win. i feel that it was such a pity that they had to face us in the 2nd round as i'm sure that they would have been able to proceed further had they been a little luckier with their match fixtures :/

ah well...
in life, sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. luck does play a part once in a while, and when that happens, we can only give it our all and hope for the best :/

anyway...
in the afternoon, we played against 5E. before the match, i was a little worried cos... well... they're weird... lol... this is not a personal attack or anything haha... what i actually meant was that they were the only team to play with 3 guys on court for the most of the game. so... i didn't really know what to expect but it turned out to be okay :) and once again i have to say great catching by both yingying and sheila cos my passes were a little oversteamed at times and resulted in them having to arch their back and stretch quite a fair bit in order to catch the ball which they did brilliantly :D:D:D the guys were great as well, the defence was solid, stopping 5E's advances on many occasions :D

the final match against 5I was fun and competitive as both teams wanted to win :) the match was not as stressful though as there were quite a few funny moments during the game, including a face off with qinyu as she was holding the ball and i stood right in front of her to try to block her :p during that few seconds, we not only had a physical battle but a mental one as we were like using our eyes to say "zuo mo yao da jia ah" in the competition spirit hoho. anyway, this friendly competition between our two classes go a long way back acadamically, during the don't forget the lyrics contest, and now the captain's ball competition. we've both had our fair share of victories at some time or another, and i'm glad that this time it was 5H that won :D

5H's really a great class and im happy to be in it :D
